Chainlink VRF: Ensuring Fairness and Transparency
Chainlink VRF operates by generating a random number and a cryptographic proof off-chain, before delivering both on-chain. The cryptographic proof is validated on-chain before the random number is accepted by the consuming application. The zero-g flight competition smart contract will accept the random number input only if it comes with a valid cryptographic proof, ensuring the process is tamper-proof and providing users with a publicly verifiable assurance of fairness.
