Huawei and Ripple partner bKash cooperate to Boost Financial Inclusion in Bangladesh Huawei and bKash, Bangladesh’s largest mobile payment operator, have agreed to deepen their partnership to drive financial inclusion and enable more people to participate in and benefit from the digital economy in the country. At the MoU signing ceremony, Kamal Quadir, Founder and CEO of bKash, highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating that the joint effort aims to drive financial inclusion and eliminate poverty for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with innovative solutions.

Huawei’s digital finance solutions are already being used by over 400 million people worldwide, and it has deployed its platform across more than 30 markets in Asia and Africa. Since 2017, Huawei has been working closely with bKash in digitalizing its mobile financial services (MFS) with the leading Mobile Money platform, offering services such as e-wallet and Nano-loan, which have brought financial inclusion and innovation to local communities.
Pan Junfeng, President of Huawei South Asia Region & CEO of Huawei Bangladesh, said that the strengthened partnership between the two companies aims to drive digital inclusion in Bangladesh, empower and enable more people to seize the benefits of the digital economy for development, and set a remarkable example to other emerging market countries in the region.
Sarder M Asaduzzaman, Assistant Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme, highlighted the contribution of MFS in the development and in achieving the target of SDGs. Ms. Susan Vize, Officer-in-Charge of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Dhaka Office, emphasized that the Smart Fintech partnership is the vehicle that will drive Bangladesh towards achieving SDGs.
