The race to launch the first XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) in the United States is heating up, with multiple major issuers, including BlackRock-backed 21Shares, WisdomTree, Bitwise, and Franklin Templeton, filing proposals with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
According to new data, at least 13 XRP ETF products are now either pending review or live, marking an unprecedented level of institutional engagement with the token. If approved, these ETFs would allow investors to gain exposure to XRP through traditional brokerage accounts, opening the floodgates for broader capital inflows.
Key Filings and Upcoming Deadlines
Among the most closely watched applications are:
- 21Shares Core XRP Trust ETF – $7B AUM, deadline: October 19, 2025
- Bitwise XRP ETF – $5B AUM, deadline: October 22, 2025
- WisdomTree XRP ETF – $113B AUM, deadline: October 24, 2025
- Franklin Templeton XRP ETF – $1.5T AUM, deadline: November 14, 2025

A Defining Moment for XRP
The filings signal a pivotal shift for XRP, which has long been one of the most institutionally recognized digital assets yet lacked ETF exposure in the U.S. Until now, regulatory uncertainty stemming from Ripple’s past legal disputes had slowed progress.
With multiple filings now before the SEC, analysts suggest the approval of even one spot XRP ETF could serve as a major liquidity event for the token. potentially mirroring the market response seen with Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF approvals earlier this year.
As of today, XRP trades near $2.45, consolidating after recent volatility. But if institutional inflows materialize following ETF approval, many market watchers believe this could mark the beginning of a new institutional cycle for the asset.
