Taurus Joins Canton Network as Super Validator to Advance Institutional Tokenization

Digital asset infrastructure firm Taurus is deepening its presence in institutional blockchain markets by joining the Canton Network as a Super Validator. The move positions Taurus at the core of governance and security for one of the most prominent networks designed specifically for regulated financial institutions. Canton has already processed more than $6 trillion in tokenized asset activity, highlighting its growing influence across global capital markets.

Strengthening Governance and Cross-Domain Security

As a Super Validator, Taurus will run validation nodes for Canton’s Global Synchronizer, the network component responsible for coordinating atomic, cross-domain transactions between independent financial applications. This role places Taurus at the center of Canton’s trust and security model, helping enforce the privacy, synchronization, and settlement assurances required by regulated markets.

Reinforcing Institutional Adoption Across Major Banks

Canton’s governance model prioritizes partners with deep institutional credibility, and Taurus fits that profile. The Canton Foundation cited Taurus’ long-standing relationships with major financial institutions, including Deutsche Bank, CACEIS, and Santander, as a key qualification for joining the network’s validator ecosystem. With tokenization accelerating across global banks, Taurus’ addition strengthens Canton’s institutional backbone.

Expanding Custody for the Canton Token Standard

Through this integration, Taurus will add custody support for the Canton Token Standard, extending its institutional-grade custody infrastructure to assets issued within the Canton ecosystem. This enables Taurus clients to take advantage of Canton’s privacy-preserving architecture, collateral-management tools, and interoperability features.

Context: Canton’s Growing Network of Institutional Validators

The partnership aligns with a broader wave of institutional-grade providers joining Canton. Other Super Validators include Coin Metrics and Figment, both of which bring critical expertise in analytics and staking infrastructure. Taurus adds a new dimension with its regulated custody capabilities, further strengthening Canton’s credibility as the go-to network for enterprise tokenization.

With Taurus now acting as a Super Validator, the Canton Network continues its march toward becoming the leading settlement and synchronization layer for regulated digital assets, bridging traditional finance with next-generation tokenization infrastructure.
