New data from Santiment highlights the Solana ecosystem’s accelerating developer activity, with several leading projects gaining traction in October.
Using enhanced GitHub event tracking, Santiment ranked the top 10 Solana-based projects by development progress, showcasing a mix of infrastructure, DeFi, and cross-chain protocols fueling growth across the network.
At the top of the list, Solana ($SOL) maintains its dominant position, reflecting the network’s continued expansion and consistent upgrades in throughput and performance. Wormhole ($W) and Drift Protocol ($DRIFT) follow closely, with both seeing robust developer engagement tied to cross-chain integrations and decentralized trading innovations.

Swarms ($SWARMS) and Pyth Network ($PYTH) complete the top five, highlighting Solana’s strength in oracles and data infrastructure.
Pyth’s ongoing collaborations with major exchanges and Helium’s integration of real-world IoT data underscore the network’s push toward practical, high-utility applications.
Other notable entries include Jito ($JTO), Orca ($ORCA), and Marinade Finance ($MNDE), projects driving yield optimization and staking accessibility for the Solana community. Metaplex ($MPLX) rounds out the top 10, continuing to power the NFT segment through its minting and marketplace tools.
Santiment’s data confirms that Solana’s ecosystem remains one of the most vibrant in crypto, combining strong developer momentum with tangible on-chain adoption. With major DeFi and cross-chain players scaling operations, the network’s technical foundation continues to solidify ahead of the next market cycle.
