- Shiba Inu’s Metaverse to partially open by end of 2023.
- Metaverse will feature 100,595 plots of land for users.
Shiba Inu developers have announced that the “SHIB: The Metaverse” project, which expands the utility of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, is set to partially open by the end of 2023. Users will have the opportunity to explore some of the areas within the metaverse, build, design, play and develop within it.
However, the developers have noted that not all areas of the metaverse will be fully completed as it is an ongoing project. The Metaverse will feature 100,595 plots of land that will be minted by users. Landowners can generate passive income from their plots, collect in-game resources and generate rewards.
Additionally, the developers plan to introduce a way to earn and ensure players have a personal space where they can build and manage their projects.
Shibarium Layer 2 Network and Humanoid Dogs in Metaverse
The metaverse will be developed in Shibarium, an upcoming layer 2 network that uses Shiba ecosystem tokens, such as bone (BONE) and (LEASH). Users will be able to create their own avatars in the metaverse, fashioned as humanoid dogs, to explore, visit, interact with lands and contribute to the in-game economy.
The metaverse is expected to be an exciting addition to the Shiba Inu ecosystem that will provide users with new opportunities and experiences. Although not all areas of the metaverse will be fully completed, Shiba Inu developers have confirmed that users will have the chance to explore some of the areas of this fantastic world by the end of 2023.
