Shibarium’s Remarkable Progress
Shibarium, the Layer 2 protocol testnet of Shiba Inu, has recorded another notable achievement. As per the data from Puppyscan, Shibarium has now processed over nine million transactions. This noteworthy milestone underscores the increasing utilization of Shibarium beta, also known as “Puppynet”, which has been operational since March 11.
This promising platform has executed 9,062,412 transactions so far, with a total of 876,636 blocks and an average block time of 5.0 seconds. Furthermore, it is also reported that the number of wallet addresses has surpassed the 15 million mark, reaching 15,777,029 in total. The Shibarium community is eagerly anticipating the launch of the mainnet as the beta continues to gain traction.
Implementing Smart Contracts and Future Developments
In the most recent update provided by Unification, the team building Shibarium, it was stated that their next task involves the deployment of the respective OoO and VOR router smart contracts, and the initiation of Oracle applications to manage data requests.
Meanwhile, according to Shibburn’s official Twitter account, over the past 24 hours, a total of 1,801,296 SHIB tokens have been burned in two transactions. At the time of the report, the price of SHIB had risen by 1.56% in the last 24 hours, standing at $0.0000087. In addition, a prominent whale, currently the fifth largest holder of SHIB and Dogecoin, recently received a transfer of 20 trillion SHIB valued at $176 million.
Anticipating the Shiba Inu Cold Wallet
In related news, Lucie, an official from the Shiba Inu ecosystem, shared a screenshot from the Shiba Inu Discord. In it, Shibarium developer “Shibarium1” hinted at an upcoming update on the preorder of the Shiba Inu cold wallet, which is being developed in partnership with Tangem. As previously reported, Tangem announced its collaboration with SHIB to create a cold wallet storage solution that would support over 6,000 different currencies.
This upcoming update further illustrates the evolving capabilities of the Shibarium platform and the Shiba Inu ecosystem as a whole.
