  • New Listings: Pintu, an Indonesian crypto trading app, has listed Shiba Inu, Pepe Coin, and Bonk, enhancing their market presence.
  • Market Response: Following the announcement, there has been a notable reaction in the crypto community, with varying price movements for these meme coins.

Pintu, a leading crypto exchange in Indonesia, has made a significant move by announcing the addition of three highly talked-about meme coins to its platform. This inclusion of Shiba Inu (SHIB), Pepe Coin (PEPE), and Solana-based Bonk (BONK) comes amidst a burgeoning interest in such digital assets, particularly in the meme coin sector.

Pintu’s Strategic Expansion with Meme Coins

The Indonesian crypto trading app, which has experienced considerable growth, revealed its decision to list these meme coins on December 21. This strategic move aligns with Pintu’s earlier hints at expanding its offerings to include Dog and Frog-themed cryptocurrencies, capturing the playful yet lucrative aspect of the crypto market.

To engage with these newly listed assets, users of Pintu will need to update their application to version 3.40. Pintu’s prominence in the Indonesian market is underscored by its successful fundraising rounds, securing $113 million in a Series B round last year, following a $35 million Series A funding in 2021.

Market Dynamics Following the Listing

The inclusion of Shiba Inu and Bonk on Pintu’s platform aligns with a trend of increasing listings on various global crypto exchanges, signaling renewed investor interest. Bonk, in particular, has witnessed a remarkable price rally, surging over 1000% following new listings and pairs on exchanges like Coinbase, Binance, and Crypto.com.

Similarly, Shiba Inu’s rising demand was highlighted by its recent listing on Japan-based crypto exchanges Coincheck and DMM Bitcoin, as reported by CoinGape. The SHIB price observed a slight uptick of over 1% in the past 24 hours, trading at $0.00001038, although its trading volume showed a slight decrease.

On the other hand, Bonk‘s price stood at $0.0000193, marking an increase of more than 7% in the last 24 hours and 28% over the week. Pepe Coin, however, experienced a marginal decline of 1% in the same timeframe, trading at $0.00000126. Notably, both BONK and PEPE saw a jump in their trading volumes in the last 24 hours.

This development marks a pivotal moment for the meme coin sector, as such listings by major crypto trading platforms like Pintu not only enhance the visibility of these digital assets but also reflect the evolving landscape of cryptocurrency investments, where meme coins are increasingly gaining serious attention from investors and traders alike.
