Zhang pinpointed “unproven” elements in systems like Linea but championed Scroll for providing a “complete proof” of all Ethereum “opcodes” and transaction facets. Scroll’s integration of zero-knowledge proofs enables off-chain data compression, thereby boosting throughput. The EVM aspect assures full compatibility with existing Ethereum software and applications. Although some initial elements, such as sequencers, are centralized, plans are in place to usher in further decentralization over time.
