C1 Fund Inc. (NYSE: CFND), a publicly traded closed-end investment company focused on late-stage digital assets and blockchain infrastructure, announced today that it has acquired shares in Ripple, the global blockchain firm known for its enterprise solutions in cross-border payments and tokenization technology.

Ripple’s network powers financial transactions for institutions worldwide, utilizing RippleUSD (RLUSD), its stablecoin, and the XRP Ledger (XRPL), an open-source blockchain designed for fast, low-cost settlement of both traditional and crypto-native assets.

“Ripple’s technology and international reach fit directly with our strategy to support core infrastructure and institutional progress in blockchain finance,” said Elliot Han, Chief Investment Officer of C1 Fund Inc. “We believe this investment positions C1 Fund to actively participate in the evolution of global digital asset markets.”

This acquisition marks a significant step in C1 Fund’s strategy to back established companies driving responsible blockchain adoption. Dr. Najam Kidwai, CEO of C1 Fund Inc., emphasized the importance of Ripple’s role in shaping the future of finance:

“We are delighted to welcome Ripple to the C1 Fund portfolio as part of our ongoing commitment to support world-class blockchain innovators. Ripple’s leadership in institutional-grade blockchain solutions aligns perfectly with our long-term vision.”

C1 Fund’s portfolio targets 30 leading digital asset and technology companies outside of China, focusing on sectors including tokenization, digital infrastructure, and blockchain financial services. Based in Palo Alto, California, the firm seeks to deliver total returns through equity and equity-linked investments across the blockchain industry.

Han added that investors can expect additional announcements soon as the fund continues expanding into high-growth blockchain opportunities, solidifying its reputation as one of Wall Street’s most forward-looking digital asset investment vehicles.
