RedotPay and Ripple have introduced a new cross-border payment service designed to let users convert cryptocurrencies directly into Nigerian Naira (NGN). The feature, called “Send Crypto, Receive NGN,” is powered by Ripple Payments and delivers near-instant payouts to verified RedotPay users holding local bank accounts.
Partnership Targets High-Cost, Slow Remittance Flows
The integration focuses on a longstanding challenge in Nigeria: traditional remittances that are slow, expensive, and dependent on intermediaries.
The data indicates that Ripple’s blockchain infrastructure allows RedotPay to streamline settlement by removing the friction typical of conventional payment channels. The result is a faster, more predictable experience for users converting digital assets into fiat currency.
Broad Crypto Support With RLUSD To Follow
The service launches with support for a wide lineup of digital assets, including XRP, USDC, USDT, BTC, ETH, SOL, TON, and BNB. RedotPay also plans to add Ripple’s upcoming RLUSD stablecoin as part of a future expansion of the product.
By enabling conversion from multiple assets, the platform provides flexibility for users who already transact in a range of cryptocurrencies and want direct access to local currency.
New Fiat Access Point For Nigerian Users
The integration creates a straightforward crypto-to-fiat bridge for Nigerians, a market where digital asset usage remains among the highest globally. The system deposits NGN funds into a recipient’s bank account within minutes, giving users an efficient method to translate digital holdings into practical, everyday value.
For RedotPay, the launch expands its payout capabilities beyond existing markets and underscores a strategic focus on high-growth, emerging economies.
Building On Earlier Ripple Adoption
While the partnership was officially announced on December 2, 2025, RedotPay has been integrating Ripple technology for months. The platform first enabled XRP deposits and spending on July 31, 2025, laying the groundwork for this deeper collaboration.
The new NGN payment rail signals a broader ambition: to use Ripple Payments as the backbone for fast, compliant, and accessible cross-border settlement infrastructure in regions where traditional systems fall short.
With this launch, RedotPay and Ripple position themselves at the center of a rapidly expanding digital-asset remittance corridor, offering a model that could extend into additional markets in the months ahead.
