Hack.ether.camp is a virtual hackathon that began November 17, 2016, and is considered the longest hackathon within the Ethereum community, spanning across five weeks. Teams are formed to build real working products while judges and fans within the crypto community watch online and cast their votes on the best project. Voting began November 24, 2016, and will continue until the hackathon finishes on December 22, 2016.
Hack.ether.camp currently has garnered over 1,000 registered developers that are all divided into camps, creating projects to win the cryptocurrency grand prize of $50K.
The hackathon has now announced their third Gold Sponsor, Deloitte, who joins other sponsors such as RWE Innogy and Wanxiang Blockchain Labs. These sponsorships aid in providing prizes to the winners of the hackathon.

DELOITTE JOINS THE ETHER CAMP VIRTUAL ACCELERATOR HACKATHON AS 3RD GOLD SPONSOR
Ether Camp, currently in the first week of their 5 week long virtual hackathon, have today announced that Deloitte have come on board as a gold sponsor for the event.
Alex Shelkovnikov, Deloitte Ventures & Blockchain Lead from Deloitte, who is also a judge on the hackathon, said "We are really pleased to be sponsoring the Ether.Camp online Hackathon. Deloitte join the German Energy company RWE Innogy and WanXiang Blockchain Labs as the third gold sponsor of the hackathon, highlighting the potential of the Virtual Accelerator to extend the reach of blockchain technology across markets..
Currently over 40 teams have now set up their camps, laid out their plans and are working away developing their prototypes. From Thursday 24th November the audience will be able to back the teams using HackerGold, the token of the Virtual Accelerator.
