As the World Trade Organization (WTO) holds its Ministerial Summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Brasil is busy promoting its Intelligent Tech and Trade Initiative (ITTI) among attendees.
As Daniel Feffer, the chairman of both ICC Brasil and ITTI, explains in a youtube video, the ITTI aims to spark conversations regarding "how blockchain technology and AI can be used to improve credit card systems, to improve small and medium-sized companies' access to new markets, and even how to engender cooperation in global commerce to optimize the use of natural resources." The initiative was launched at the WTO Public Forum in Geneva in September 2017. Participants including Feffer are bringing the ITTI publicity at the ongoing summit by holding a seminar, as well as sharing a paper and a documentary on the organization's work and goals.
The body is apparently keen to weigh both the pros and cons of blockchain adoption.
