XRP is making waves in the crypto market once again, with prominent analyst and XRP community figure Alex Cobb declaring that the long-awaited “XRP season” is officially underway. With the token recently surging past key resistance levels, optimism around XRP’s near-term potential is heating up.
Cobb’s bullish sentiment arrives at a pivotal time. the digital asset has broken past the $2 barrier for the first time in July and recently crossed the $2.3 mark, a level not seen in nearly three months. More notably, the token reached the $2.4 region, a high not touched since May, signaling a strong momentum shift.
Meanwhile, at the time of press, XRP is changing hands with $2.44 after a 4.94% surge in the past 24 hours.
“XRP season has started,” Cobb proclaimed in a recent post on social media platform X. He indicated that the rally began on July 9 and expects this uptrend to continue throughout the month. According to Cobb, the technical breakout combined with strengthening market fundamentals suggests the token is poised for significant gains in the coming weeks.

However, XRP’s performance is standing out even in this bullish environment. It’s the second-largest gainer among the top 10 cryptocurrencies and ranks fourth among the top 20. This outperformance supports Cobb’s belief that XRP is entering its own distinct growth phase, a true “XRP season.”
Part of this renewed momentum can be credited to recent developments within the XRP ecosystem. Ripple’s expanding influence, including a major partnership with BNY Mellon, America’s oldest-running bank, and CEO Brad Garlinghouse’s appearance before Congress, have helped boost investor confidence in XRP’s long-term utility and legitimacy.
Cobb predicts that if current trends hold, the asset could rally to $4.35 by the end of July, a level that would mark a new all-time high. With XRP currently trading around $2.42, this would require a 79% increase in less than three weeks. While ambitious, Cobb believes the momentum, both technical and fundamental, is strong enough to support such a rally.
This isn’t the first time the $4 mark has been floated as a potential target. Earlier this year, analyst Velo Maxi forecast a similar rally after XRP reached $3, but the prediction didn’t materialize.
