European Coinbase Customers Can Buy Ether Via Mobile

By using their debit or credit cards, European users can now purchase virtual currency through their mobile devices.

Coinbase unveiled a new feature for European customers.

In a blog post, Coinbase announced that users in Europe can now acquire Bitcoin or Ether through their mobile phones. These payments can be done using a credit or debit card.

The user friendly wallet and exchange pointed out forty percent of their credit and debit purchases through a mobile are from US customers. Coinbase understood it was necessary for everyone to have access to these types of mobile payments.

“Our mission at Coinbase is to create an open financial system for the world, and enabling easy access to digital currencies like bitcoin and ethereum in as many countries as possible gets us one step closer to that goal,” Coinbase adds.

The San Francisco-based company has been working non-stop this past year, always putting their customers first. After launching a beta phase for debit cards in March 2016, US customers were granted access to purchase virtual currency with debit cards by the end of April.

This new feature adds to Coinbase’s international expansion. Last month, Coinbase welcomed customers from Australia, Canada, and Singapore to use their services. The company enabled services that allowed customers to purchase virtual currency instantly using debit and credit cards.
