Crypto.com has entered a strategic partnership with South Korean fintech firm Travel Wallet under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) announced on October 21, 2025. The two companies aim to bring digital assets into mainstream global payments by combining crypto, fiat, and stablecoin functionality into a single seamless platform. The move marks one of Crypto.com’s largest regional expansions in Asia to date and a major step toward real-world crypto adoption.

As part of the deal, Travel Wallet will serve as Crypto.com’s primary issuing partner in South Korea, leveraging its Visa Principal license and network of over 100 million merchants worldwide. Together, they will launch a co-branded prepaid card that supports both traditional fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies. This product is designed to offer users smooth multi-currency spending capabilities, giving travelers and everyday consumers the ability to spend digital and fiat assets interchangeably across the globe.

The partnership also integrates Crypto.com’s “crypto-as-a-service” infrastructure into Travel Wallet’s mobile app, allowing users to buy, sell, and trade crypto assets directly within the platform. Additionally, the two companies plan to introduce a Korean won-pegged stablecoin to power faster, lower-cost cross-border transactions. The stablecoin initiative aims to streamline travel payments, remittances, and currency exchanges while ensuring compliance with South Korean financial regulations.

South Korea’s advanced digital payments ecosystem provides the ideal environment for this collaboration. Crypto.com President and COO Eric Anziani said the country offers “a consumer base eager to engage with crypto-enabled payment tools.” Travel Wallet CEO Kim Hyung-woo described the partnership as “the beginning of a new payment paradigm where fintech meets blockchain finance.”

The initiative underscores how crypto and traditional finance are converging. By bridging fiat, digital currencies, and stablecoins into a unified payment experience, Crypto.com and Travel Wallet are bringing blockchain-based financial services closer to everyday use — especially for travelers seeking convenience, flexibility, and global reach.
