BNB Hack 2024 Q4: The Ultimate Battle of Hacker Heroes

BNB Chain, the community-driven blockchain ecosystem that includes the world’s largest smart contract blockchain, has announced the final quarter of its 2024 BNB Hack Series, titled “The Ultimate Battle of Hacker Heroes” set to kick off on November 20. With a prize pool exceeding $458,000, BNB Chain invites Web3 developers to innovate and build freely, reinforcing its mission to onboard the next billion users to Web3. For those interested, submissions can be made here. 

Building begins on November 20, with workshops starting November 26. Submissions open on December 15 and close on December 24, followed by a Top 10 Demo Day on January 14. Winner announcements will be on January 16, and an incubation period for top projects will run from January 16 to February 16. Responding to community feedback, the Q4 BNB Hack has no predefined theme or wish list. Instead, developers can explore curated tracks aligned with market trends and BNB Chain’s ecosystem priorities:

  • Stablecoin, DeFi, and Payments: Build solutions to enhance financial efficiency.
  • Telegram-based Dapps and Infrastructure: Create community-focused apps and tools for gaming and social engagement.
  • AI-driven Dapps and Infrastructure: Innovate with AI for DeFi, gaming, and beyond.
  • New Narratives (DeSoc, DeSci, DeBio): Bridge Web3 with real-world industries and infrastructure.  

Participants can also compete in the sponsored challenges: 

  • UXUY: Connect With BNB Chain on Telegram via UXUY Connect
  • DEGO: Integrating the TG mini app and Gaming on BNB Chain
  • THENA: AI for DeFi
  • Sonorous: Music on Telegram
  • Polyhedra: SHA256 Proof Generation for BSC/opBNB
  • Dorafactory: Design a Tool/Product for User Key Management 

In addition to the annual sponsors, Polyhedra Network, Dora Factory, DEGO Finance, TUSD, Sonorus, and THENA, three new sponsors have been announced including, Myshell, UXUY, and Simon’s Cat

The 2024 BNB Hack integrates online and in-person components, making it accessible to developers worldwide while working to encourage localized collaboration through offline events. As a cornerstone of the BNB Chain Builder Support Program, this series is part of a comprehensive initiative that supports developers at every stage of their journey—from hackathon participation to acceleration, incubation, and potential investment. BNB Chain fosters a cohesive ecosystem designed to empower builders to create impactful, real-world solutions. With tools, resources, and mentorship tailored to every experience level, the Builder Support Program is designed to ensure developers have everything they need, from ideation to successful project launch. This Q4 installment of BNB Hack features a total prize pool of $458,000, distributed across multiple categories to reward innovation: 

  • Winner Prize Pool: $50,000 shared among the top projects.
  • Honorable Mentions: $10,000 distributed among standout submissions.
  • Milestone Rewards: $60,000, with $10,000 available for each project that successfully deploys on the mainnet and meets the specified milestones. 
  • Kickstart Packages: Valued at $300,000 (six packages of $50,000 each), these exclusive packages include credits for essential development tools and services such as AWS, Google Cloud, and more, designed to accelerate project growth.
  • Sponsor Challenge Track: An additional $38,000 in prizes for participants competing in sponsor-driven challenges.

In addition, the 6 winners will receive one demo opportunity on BNB Chain’s official channel, 1-to-1 technical support for up to one month after the hackathon with access to a private small group to provide technical and ecological support. Lastly, all winners will be eligible for a direct interview for the MVB program. Users can learn more about requirements, terms, and criteria here.
