BitGo officially launched its initial public offering on Monday, January 12, 2026, targeting up to $201 million in fresh capital as it prepares to go public on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker BTGO.
IPO Structure and Pricing
The offering consists of 11.8 million shares of Class A common stock, sold by BitGo and existing shareholders. Shares are expected to price between $15 and $17, implying a fully diluted valuation of roughly $1.96 billion at the top end of the range.
The IPO is scheduled to price on Wednesday, January 21, with trading expected to begin Thursday, January 22, 2026.
The deal is being led by Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, acting as lead underwriters.
Use of Proceeds
BitGo will receive proceeds from the 11 million newly issued shares it is selling. The remaining 821,595 shares, offered by existing shareholders, will not generate proceeds for the company.
Institutional Crypto Infrastructure Play
Founded in 2013, BitGo has become a core infrastructure provider for the digital asset market. The company offers institutional-grade custody, secure wallets, and liquidity solutions, serving asset managers, exchanges, and corporate clients.
As of September 30, 2025, BitGo reported:
- Over $104 billion in assets held on its platform
- More than 4,900 clients
- Operations spanning 100+ countries
From Private Setbacks to Public Markets
The public listing follows BitGo’s failed acquisition by Galaxy Digital in 2021 and a 2023 funding round that valued the company at $1.75 billion. The IPO marks a renewed attempt to scale independently, amid rising institutional participation in crypto markets driven by ETFs and regulated trading products.
If successful, BitGo would become one of the few publicly listed crypto custody specialists, signaling growing investor appetite for regulated digital-asset infrastructure rather than pure trading exposure.
