Version 27.0 sees the removal of the libbitcoinconsensus library, which has been part of the software for over a decade, and introduces new formats to enhance compatibility with third-party applications.ย

It also establishes BIP324 v2 as the standard transport protocol, improving network interactions within the blockchain. If there are issues with v2, the system will revert to the previous version, v1.
