- SEC approval remains uncertain as the regulator reviews the first Move-language blockchain ETF.
Bitwise Asset Management has filed a registration with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a spot exchange-traded fund centered on the Aptos blockchain. This action was confirmed by the firm’s chief executive, Hunter Horsley, through a post on the social media platform X.

Can’t say more during quiet period.

He indicated that SEC rules impose a quiet period, restricting additional details. The APT token responded with a price increase of 30%, moving from about $4.20 to surpass $5.30. Trading volume for APT reached $614 million, which is its highest point in two months.
The total market capitalization stands at $4.21 trillion
Global trading volume for all cryptocurrencies has exceeded $180 billion. Data from on-chain analytics firm Chain Broker indicates Aptos is experiencing a surge in developer activity. The network recorded an 897 percent growth in this area, exceeding the performance of other blockchains such as Celo and Skale.
Regulatory approval for the Aptos ETF is not guaranteed. The SEC has typically been slow to endorse crypto funds beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. Therefore, the review process could extend over a considerable period. In contrast, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $3.24 billion in net inflows last week. That amount ranks as the second largest since these funds launched in January. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust alone accounted for $1.8 billion of these inflows.
The Altcoin Season Index from CoinMarketCap currently shows a reading of 63. Values above 50 often suggest a market shift toward alternative digital currencies. Ethereum, the largest altcoin by market value, has seen its price rise 14% over the past week. It is trading near $4,540.
