Ethereum and india

The founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, will be the guest of honor at the 2017 Blockchain India Week held in Mumbai on May 13 through 20. The week-long event will be hosted by Blockchain Storm and Zero Field Labs, and will include hackathons, workshops, conferences, and forums.

Buterin will award prizes for the hackathon winners as well as for the winning research paper on blockchain. His participation in the event will hopefully inspire people in India to join the Ethereum community, and encourage the development of the technology.

Blockchain community members from around the world will converge in Mumbai allowing developers and entrepreneurs  to build global relationships and establish enterprise collaborations. The event will introduce India to various Proof of Concepts (PoCs) that have already been developed in Europe and the US.

In addition to Buterin, the event is supported by members of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance  such as Consensys and Microsoft.

Buterin was also the guest of honor last December during the first ever Blockchain India Summit in New Delhi, which included several key players in the blockchain industry, including Ethereum, Consensys, Microsoft, Wipro, IBM, Synechron, Accenture, and TCS.
