ETH ETF Weekly Volume Surges Beyond $2.7 Billion

Major institutions like BlackRock and Fidelity are seeing substantial inflows into ETH ETFs. ETHNews analysts expect Ethereum to approach parity with traditional commodities like gold in ETF market penetration.

Recent reports indicate activity in Ethereum-related exchange-traded funds (ETFs). In the past week, spot Ethereum ETFs saw $2.18 billion in net inflows, marking the highest weekly inflow these products have ever recorded.

Another report notes that ETH ETFs attracted over $2 billion in inflows during July 2025. However, there isn’t a direct confirmation in the provided results of ETH ETF weekly volume surging beyond $2.7 billion, although total weekly volume for Ethereum reached $10.5 billion at one point, with an average daily trading volume of $2.1 billion.

Two Companies Now Hold More Ethereum Than Its Creators

SharpLink Gaming and Bitmine Immersion Technologies possess more Ethereum than the organization that created it. These two publicly traded firms, not previously major players in crypto, control substantial amounts of ETH.

SharpLink Gaming, based in Minneapolis, holds 280,706 Ethereum

This amount is worth about one billion dollars. The company raised $400 million by selling its own stock. It used this money to buy the Ethereum. SharpLink stakes its Ethereum to earn returns. It also provides investors with an “ETH-per-share” figure. This shows exactly how much Ethereum backs each share of the company stock.

Meanwhile, Bitmine Immersion Technologies holds 300,657 Ethereum. Its holdings are currently valued near $1.13 billion. Tom Lee, known from Fundstrat, leads Bitmine. The company receives backing from Peter Thiel, who once led PayPal.

Bitmine wants to become a primary holder of Ethereum reserves. It uses money made from cryptocurrency mining. It also employs financial tools like Ethereum options contracts. Its method copies MicroStrategy’s well-known approach to buying Bitcoin, but applies it entirely to Ethereum.

This large-scale buying by companies occurs as institutions show more activity in Ethereum markets. The total value of active Ethereum futures contracts reached $50 billion. This happened while Ethereum’s price moved above $3,500.
