Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum, is scheduled to appear at the Ethereum Singapore Meetup this August.

Buterin will instruct attendees on how to write smart contracts. “Come learn more about Smart Contract writing and the mechanics of the dynamic Ethereum Virtual Machine from the founder himself,” the event page says.

The lecture from Buterin is the first example of a new layout Meetups want to continue in the future. Developed by the Ethereum Foundation and Ethereum Singapore with Digix Global, the series of lectures are meant to teach others about code and to help them steer clear of opinionated panels.

The event will start at 5pm, August 30. It will be held on the second floor of the NUS Enterprise at 71 Ayer Rajah Crescent.

Back in April, Ethereum London posted a meetup with Buterin as the only speaker. Within 4 hours, the reservations sold out. Buterin seems to generate quite a gathering whenever he attends at meetup, so if you’re interested make sure to join the event here
