Coinbase has made it easier for Australian users to acquire Ether.

“We are excited to announce that Coinbase has expanded its services to Australia. Customers in Australia can now buy bitcoin and ether using their credit and debit cards,” the press release states.

Australian customers will also have access to ETH/BTC trading through the GDAX platform.

“We’re focused on creating an open financial system for the world, allowing people to easily buy and sell digital currencies anywhere in the world. Along with this launch in Australia, we are also making the ETH/BTC trading pair available on our professional trading platform GDAX to customers in Australia.”

Another Coinbase service is gaining mobile access to purchase Ether. Developers can use the Buy Widget for their websites, making it easier for users to buy goods and services using Ether.

While Australians acquire Ether and other virtual currencies, Coinbase points out they are currently unable to sell. However, the company did promise to add the service when it becomes available within the country.
