Two Australian bitcoin exchanges have just announced that they will be providing new services that will allow their users to purchase Ether.

CoinTree stated that starting Monday, June 13th users will be able to trade bitcoin for Ether and DAO tokens (as well as other altcoins such as Litecoin), and CoinLoft users will now have the option to purchase Ether.

According to David Temple, CoinLoft Co-founder:

“Ethereum is an exciting project with great potential in the area of smart contracts. ETH has been getting a lot of attention in recent months and we are proud to offer our customers this option.”

As Ether prices have jumped up today, this is good news for Australia.

From Shane Stevenson, CoinTree Co-founder:

“While we continue to focus our efforts and support on bitcoin, we strive to lower entry barriers for all Australians interested in cryptocurrencies and are excited to announce this simplified service for buying altcoins.”

For anyone still on the fence about purchasing Ether, now would be the perfect opportunity for anyone interested to get on board. More exchanges will soon be offering services to purchase Ether as the demand continues to rise.
